EU citizens have never been a ‘burden’. They’re our friends, family, neighbours, and our country relies on them. It’s a shame that the EU residents that have met the criteria and qualified for settled status. Have not been given their passports to stay.

EU residents should have been given a vote in the referendum. To deny them a vote when Commonwealth citizens and Irish citizens resident in the UK did have a vote, was democracy denied. An appalling injustice which has left the UK in the sad position it is today.
47 years of getting more and more reliant on each other was bound to lead to massive problems once undone without preparing for the consequences. Companies perform risk assessments and act accordingly. Brexiteers just called it project fear.
Temporary visa plan for lorries drivers is not solve out the U.K. crisis , the longer term solution U.K. must rejoin to a EU single market and accept the free movement.
